Projects overview

We can access a range of offset projects, underway in several countries including Brazil, Canada, China, Eritrea, Kenya, India, New Zealand, Tanzania and the USA.  

Many are based on wind, solar or hydroelectric renewable energy.  Others, such as the Basa Magogo project that we currently feature, are based on more efficient use of existing fuel.  Another area is that of carefully assessed tree planting schemes or prevention of deforestation of existing forest.  New ideas are being generated every day.

Many projects are quite small and, as well as reducing carbon dioxide emissions, bring other social and economic benefits to the communities where they are based, like the Basa Magogo project.  They can also come from large companies which are working to play their part in reducing man's impact on the global climate.

The cost of offsets varies from project to project. We bring credible projects to the market at a reasonable cost, where the emission reductions are verified by a relevant expert individual or organization independent of both CarbonOffsetsLtd and the project developer.
